In the spirit of Child Abuse Awareness Month, the CAC is sponsoring 3 contests for any student residing in or attending school in Sullivan County Schools, Bristol City Schools, Kingsport City Schools, or other private/home school in the county. Please bring or mail your student’s work along with the signed permission form to the CAC, unless your child’s class is participating as a group and has asked for work to be turned into the school.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL POSTER CONTEST

Students K-5 should submit a legal or letter sized poster drawn with marker, crayon, or colored pencils along with their name and school written on the back. This year’s theme is “EVERY CHILD MATTERS”. Posters can be submitted to your school or the CAC no later than April 16th along with this signed form.

The winning poster will receive a prize and pizza party for their class!

MIDDLE SCHOOL POETRY CONTEST

Students 6-8 should submit a poem of any length about the theme “TO THOSE THAT PROTECT KIDS” – in honor of all those who work to protect children – with their name and school name on the front or back. Poems can be submitted to your school or the CAC no later than April 16th along with this signed form.

The winning poem will receive a prize and pizza party for their class!

HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST

Students 9-12 should submit an essay of any length about the theme “IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING TO MAKE THE WORLD A SAFER PLACE FOR KIDS AND TEENS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?” with their name and school name on the front or back. Essays can be submitted to your school or the CAC no later than April 16th along with this signed form.

The winning essay will receive a prize and pizza party for their class!
